Q: Does installing any type of accessory VOID my factory warranty?

A: No, as long as the Installed part doesn't damage a factory component directly when installed, or interfere with the normal operation of a factory part. See the Federal law called "Magnasson/Moss Act" for more details.

Q: What is a "chip-key" also known as a Transponder key and how do i know if i have one???

A: This is just your FACTORY KEY (not remote) that is special because it contains a hidden micro-chip inside and prevents the car from running.  In order for us to install a remote starter, we often take a key from you and install it inside the remote start under your dash OR (on most cars) copy the keys microchip with a digital device.

We normally can tell by looking at the key if it has this option, but your car DEALER will also be able to help you identify it.

Q: How long does it take to install a remote starter?

A: It takes a few continuos hours to complete 1 car, so we require the car to be dropped off for the whole day.   We often get VERY busy and cannot complete a car without interuption so that is why we do not offer a means of having you wait around for it.

Q: Will my factory remote still work after it's installed?  Can i get the same options on the new remote?

A:  Yes, the factory remote will work just as it did from day one.  We never cut any of your factory wiring that will eliminate factory options.  However, the FACTORY designs most remotes to STOP working once the car is RUNNING.  So as an added convenience, we can install the doorlock and trunk open options to our remotes.  This also eliminates the need to carry 2 remotes on your keychain.  Please be aware that your factory remote options (like horns/sirens sounding when using it) will not work on our remotes, since this is ONLY performed thru the FACTORY remote and FACTORY computer system.   These noises are NOT able to be connected to our systems.

Q: How much does it cost to install a remote starter?   Can i get a deal on 2 or more?

A:  Costs vary on a Per-car-basis!! With over 85,000 model cars available, every year,make and model constantly changes its wiring/operations, so we will need to estimate your labor and addtional required parts per vehicle.  The basic unit w/installation starts at around $199 and averages at $299 for most 2002 and newer style cars.   Tho some 2008 and newer require special installations so CALL for the price on your SPECIFIC vehicle!!!
